Alternative Energy: Not that difficult

Watching television the other day, I think it was discovery or national geographic channel, I saw a hobbyist make a make shift wind turbine, everything was home made from the generator to the turbine made of scrap.

This is the future and when countries miss out on such opportunities saying they have other things to do of more priority they will miss out. Talking to a diplomat from Africa, he told me there are more pressing issues than knowledge, pressing political issues like land, natural resources. I was obviously bemussed because a great opportunity is being missed in the name of priorities, by the time they decide its time it will be too late, the industry will be too mature and Africa oonce again will miss out in participating from the begining because of issues more pressing than knowledge and competing in the global arena.
